Many of those who take up claims adjusting as a career, came into the field in a similar manner, looking for work and finding a vocation. At Quinn Associates Claims, the focus in on vocation. Finding interesting and challenging career that provides a wide variety of interactions with a wide range of assureds, over a vast scope of loss events, meeting a challenge and providing an important service. Discharging from the Air Force in Omaha Nebraska and being offered an opportunity to be part of a Midwestern regional insurance company, the adventure over decades began. From trainee in home office, to metropolitan office, to resident adjuster, claims management and independent service provider, the vocation has always been interesting and rewarding. Stepping forward on the educational milestones of AIC, CPCU, SCLA, and a Master’s in Insurance Management, the career was always exciting and full of new ways to respond to the needs of assureds under the contract called a policy. Attending events sponsored by the various adjuster associations, catastrophe associations, state legal associations, NAIIA, PLRB, and NFIP great friendships are forged in the effort of staying informed and vital in the work being done. Catastrophic events, Andrew, Katrina, and Ike were sprinkled in the mix of local and sometimes savage windstorm, hail and flood events, building a memory of service to those assureds affected by them.
It is this heart and enthusiasm for the career that Mr. Emley brought to and nurtures at Quinn Associates Claims. Dedication to this career as a real “service” in society remain at the center of our relationship to our insurance carrier clients, their assureds, and those we bring into the field as apprentices and associates.
